Born from personal experience, built with purpose, driven by community.
Danny’s Vision
Danny founded AHF with a simple but powerful belief: Job seekers deserve structure, dignity, and a trusted community they can count on—not just another noisy Slack group or short-lived workshop.
Having seen the emotional weight that unemployment carries, Danny wanted to create something deeper—a space where people could show up weekly, feel safe being vulnerable, and leave feeling stronger.
Inspired by the consistency and trust of programs like Alcoholics Anonymous, Danny envisions AHF as a ritual-driven, human-centered community where accountability and hope go hand in hand.
Mission Statement:
To uplift and support those pursuing new career paths, fostering accountability and instilling hope for a brighter future.
Our Values
We believe every job seeker deserves more than just networking—they deserve community.
Community
A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. Real connections and peer support make the journey less lonely.
Accountability
The quality or state of being accountable; especially: an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one’s actions. Gentle accountability helps maintain momentum and achieve goals.
Humility
Having humility means having a modest, accurate view of yourself, recognizing your limitations and strengths without arrogance, valuing others, and being open to learning, which contrasts with pride or a sense of superiority.
Empathy
Empathy is the ability to understand, share, and vicariously experience another person’s emotions and perspective, crucial for building relationships. It involves both feeling what another feels (affective) and understanding their point of view (cognitive). Key components include emotional sharing, cognitive perspective-taking, and compassion.
Integrity
Integrity is the quality of being honest and having a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or earnestness of one’s actions.
Dignity
The state or quality of being worthy of honor or respect. Every person deserves respect and support during their career transition.
Structure
A structure is an arrangement and organization of interrelated elements in a material object or system, or the object or system so organized. Weekly rituals and consistent support provide stability in uncertain times.
Respect
Respect is showing high regard, esteem, and consideration for someone or something important, valuing their worth, feelings, and opinions, even when you disagree, and it involves treating people as equals with care and dignity, building trust and safety in relationships, and stems from self-respect and recognizing inherent human value.
Psychological safety (Trust)
Trust and psychological safety are linked to a wide range of positive outcomes. These include individual attitudes, team behaviors and environment, and overall performance. Below we consider each of these in turn and look at the contexts in which trust and psychological safety are especially important.
Inclusiveness (Diversity)
Diversity is having different people (race, gender, age, etc.) at the table, while inclusion is the active, intentional culture that makes everyone feel welcome, respected, heard, and empowered to fully participate and contribute their unique perspectives, ensuring different voices influence decisions, leading to better innovation and fairness.

The Friday Meeting: Our Central Ritual
- At the heart of AHF is our weekly Friday meeting—a consistent, safe space where job seekers gather for structure, accountability, and hope.
- Every Friday at 3:30 PM EST, we create a ritual that participants can count on. Like a lighthouse in the storm, our meetings provide direction and stability in the often chaotic world of job searching.
- This isn’t networking. This isn’t a workshop. This is community—real, sustained, and transformative.
